Starting your own business is daunting at the best of times. It doesn't matter how much experience you have, how much business knowledge you carry or the number of contacts you have in your network... at the end of the day it is still a leap of faith. It takes real courage to walk away from a steady paycheck, holiday pay, sick leave and all the other perks that come with being an 'employee' and really taking control of your own destiny.
After nearly 30 years as a Residential and Commercial Property Manager, I took that leap of faith. On February 6 this year, I bit the bullet and established 'Karen Stehr Property' with the vision of creating a unique, boutique Property Management company servicing the Sunshine Coast. My mission statement centred around managing every property to a superior standard and providing customer service never experienced by landlords and tenants that work with large franchises or companies focussed on 'building the rent roll'. Karen Stehr Property is about Property Management, it is about my clients and it is about maximising the return on their investment.
Just four months since launch, I am the proud parent of a rising star. I have stayed true to my intentions, putting my clients first and working to build a well serviced rent roll, with happy landlords and tenants alike. Karen Stehr Property is already at capacity, with a total of 130 properties, all under my watchful eye and benefiting from my years of experience, my knowledge and my commitment to delivering quality results. With this success comes a sense of gratitude and a heart bursting with appreciation.
All I can say at this point is when you take that leap of faith... expect a miracle.
